Welcome Parents/Guardians
We would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to Community Action Agency of Talladega, Clay, Randolph, Calhoun and Cleburne Counties Head Start Program hereafter referred to (CAATCRCC Head Start).  We believe our Program will offer your child a quality, comprehensive preschool experience in a loving, caring and safe environment.

This year as we will continue to focus on School Readiness and Parent Family Community and Engagement our ultimate goal is “Preparing for a Brighter Future” for our children and families by increasing the knowledge and skills of our staff to continue providing high quality assistance to children and families in the communities we serve.

The Head Start Program will provide a full six hours of activities and learning experiences for your child each day. The CAATCRCC Head Start Program will include a developmentally appropriate education curriculum and two nutritious meals and one snack a day.  We have a Management Staff as well as Education Staff that will be here to assist you by providing quality and timely services for your child and your family; and many opportunities for Parent Family and Community Engagements.

We believe that early learning is the root of a child's success. Since learning begins at birth, the CAATCRCC Head Start strives to provide education, experiences and opportunities to assist parents in providing a "good beginning" for their children. WE BELIEVE THAT PARENTS ARE THEIR CHILD'S MOST IMPORTANT TEACHER. To assist parents in becoming effective teachers, we work with each family to build and strengthen their parenting skills.

We emphasize an individual approach with children and parents. Individual strengths and needs are assessed and goals are established by parents and staff.

We are committed to providing quality comprehensive services for the child and his/her family. Our activities are geared toward nurturing the growth and development of the children enrolled, Involving Parents (Family & Community Engagement) in the program and providing them with opportunities to enhance their understanding and knowledge.  We encourage you to volunteer in our Centers when time permits because we need Volunteers on a daily basis.

There are many changes taking place in the government as well as the nation, but we the CAATCRCC Head Start Program will continue to reach for the stars to provide quality services to you and your family.

I am looking forward to meeting you.  If there is ever a problem that your Center Supervisor has not left you with a peace of mind, you may call me at (256) 362-0113 my direct line or (256) 362-5694 or (256) 362-3697.
